In August of 1997, AirT organized Global Ground Support, LLC in an effort to acquire the Simon Deicer Division of Terex Aviation Ground Equipment to further diversify the company’s customer base and business mix within the aviation industry. Today, Global Ground Support manufactures, designs, sells, and supports a full line of aircraft ground support equipment (GSE). From aircraft deicers to glycol recovery vehicles, we work to provide the high-quality tools that the aviation industry demands.

We Make Flying Safer Simple.
Global Ground Support’s products are designed and manufactured in our Olathe, Kansas, facility. Our flexible manufacturing facility enables the production of a wide range of products. The primary products produced by Global are commercial truck-mounted deicing equipment, catering/cabin service trucks, flight line tow tractors, glycol recovery vehicles, and aircraft washers — all used for aircraft in the aviation industry. Our worldwide customer base includes everyone from ground-handling companies to major United States and International airlines and airports and our own U.S. military.
Designed for World-class Aviation
Our engineering process begins and ends with customer requirements. Our in-house design engineering team starts by developing a design for ground support equipment (GSE) and quickly responds to design changes, accurately analyzing improvements and translating them into a build-to-product baseline. Manufacturing turns the build-to-package and the bill of materials into the production plan. Next, the manufacturing/engineering team quickly performs tradeoff studies, designs and builds the ground support equipment product, conducts tests, and analyzes results to determine where design changes must be made. We then choose the best solution, finalize the configuration, incorporate changes, and manufacture the product to the new, documented product baseline.
The Sky’s the Limit
As a long-time partner to the aviation industry, we have helped commercial, private, and even military aircrafts safely get to all the places they need to go. With various ground support equipment (GSE) solutions for the aviation industry, the sky is the only limit.
